World Oceans Day

World Oceans Day

As we head towards World Oceans Day on the 8th of June, we are reminded how important our world’s oceans are and that we simply cannot live without them.

There has been much in the news recently regarding climate change and weather it is real or not and if the world’s superpower nations are going to stand in unity against it or not. Regardless of whether or not they do stand together we, as humanity, are solely responsible for what happens to this planet.

This is what World Ocean Day is about it. It creates a global awareness around this important subject throughout various campaigns that are run throughout the world. There is a central website that you can visit to view all of the events around the world that are have been set up to create awareness.

Change Is Subject To Ownership

As individuals on this complex and fragile planet, the first step towards change is by taking personal ownership of your role within your immediate environment. Without doing this there will be no change towards a healthier and significantly more stable environment for our children and their children’s children to grow up in.

Whether this ownership starts in your home by recycling or picking up litter on your daily job; every little bit will help towards a better future. No task it too small or too insignificant. If every single one of the 7.5 billion people on this planet did so, our world would certainly be a different place entirely.

Bringing The Ocean into Your Home

In the spirit of celebrating World Ocean Day, here at Wintingo, we would like to make things a little bit fun and less on the serious side. After all, even though this is a very important issue, it is also a celebration of the beauty and vast expanses of these mysterious bodies of water that take up so much of the place we like to call home.

Wintingo offers some great online casino games that are ocean themed. These games include Fish Party, Emperor of the Sea, Ariana, Dolphin Quest and Mermaid Millions.
